Definition of Task

marking of absorbent fibre drums with multiple lines of text and logos in a character height up to 200 mm
high resolution printing system connected to customer network via Ethernet

required code consists of text elements and logos with two stacked GK 768/256 print heads
marking takes place when the drums on the conveyor pass the print head (no drum turning device required)
the customer has to be able to create logos through an open source software and to easily import them with the REA PrintCommander software (with up to 2500 stored texts)
the speed of the fibre drums passing by the print head is related to the diameter of the drums and is 12 m/min. in average

well legible print image
replacement of stamp wheels which were used for many years, with a contact free marking system
very flexible due to the fast change and adjust-ment of the print text
reduced waste considerably by providing excellent print quality and the elimination of manual input errors due to automated text assignment from host computer
