Paper Bag Coding
Definition of Task
- paper bags filled with cement and caulking compound are coded from both sides at a print-height of 25 mm (1 inch)
Special Product Specification
- print information: product code, product number and an EAN 13 barcode
- the filled bags pass by the two print heads positioned on the opposite sides of a conveyor belt with a speed of 40 m/min. (130 feet/min.)
- immediately after the printing process the barcodes are scanned and checked on either side of the bag. If both barcodes are not readable, the conveyor is stopped and a label printer which is connected to the controller puts a label on the bag
- printing takes place in a very dusty environment
- temperatures vary according to the change of season and between – 4° and +40° Celsius (+25° and +104° Fahrenheit)
