Printing on porous cement blocks

Definition of Task

Porous cement blocks are printed while they are still moist
Afterwards they are placed into an autoclave at approx. 200 degrees Celsius at a steam pressure of 18 Bar where they are “baked” for up to 12 hours

The printing occurs within an environment which is very dusty and is in two lines having a total print height of 67 mm
Besides the product description, the manufacturing date and time are also printed
The porous cement blocks are transported on a conveyor belt and pass by the print head at a speed of approx. 20 m/min

Good readable coding is guaranteed by using a special type of micro-pigmented-ink which can withstand the high oven temperatures, holds well on the porous surface and still gives a rich contrast
