REA Elektronik and Mr. Klaus Sieweke, managing director of REA KuC in Bielefeld, each hold an equity stake of 25% in Teuto Systemtechnik GmbH, specialists in automation technology based in Halle / Westphalia.

Teuto's core areas of expertise include coding and marking systems in online print processes, in the construction of special machinery, and automation, e.g. interface programming for data communication in linking between existing systems.

The contact formed during a period of close cooperation between REA KuC and Teuto in ongoing customer projects.

For one major steel pipe manufacturer, REA coding and marking systems (CO₂ laser & spray technology) is coding and marking steel pipes of up to 18 m in length for laying pipe on the sea floor.

The REA systems are mounted on Kuka robots and label the pipes from inside and outside with online data that is transferred from the company's internal IT system. During this project Teuto implemented the coupling of the each of the individual systems via interfaces, which included the master production computer, pipe conveyor unit, Kuka robots, and REA printing systems.

Teuto has positioned itself as a qualified and experienced project partner, particularly in the SPS (stored program control) area.

At one of the major kitchen knife manufacturers, premium knives are marked with the company logo and are labeled using two REA FL fiber lasers. A special rotary table was designed and built by Teuto. The blank knives are inserted by a Kuka robot and positioned for coding and marking. The entire robot control system was delivered by Teuto during project planning. ~

The potential synergies that could be achieved through a close collaboration between the two firms were immediately apparent. For REA, the equity stake in Teuto represents an excellent addition to its own product line. Now we can provide a greatly expanded range of services to our customers and partners.
