Muehltal, September 1, 2021 - Global marking and code verification specialist REA Elektronik GmbH will present its innovations at Fachpack 2021 from September 28 to 30 and also announce its cooperation with a specialist in optical label inspection. Print packaging directly, never again put defective codes and incorrectly labeled products into circulation and thereby reduce material diversity and error costs. REA offers solutions for this and has applied for a patent for some innovations. REA also offers intelligent solutions for compliance with and implementation of requirements of the new packaging law for material identification, the recycling regulation and thus also for more sustainable use of resources. REA's experts also provide tips and advice when it comes to applying and verifying standard-compliant, machine-readable codes for compliance with valid and upcoming legal requirements. Basic and expert knowledge on all 1D and 2D codes, the UFI code for hazardous mixtures, the Crypto Code for pharmaceuticals in Russia and UDI marking for medical products are just a few examples.

These are the news from REA:
New high-resolution direct printing solutions for cardboard packagings and foil wrappings - patent pending

For transparent or translucent foil wrappings, REA has developed a new contact-free direct printing technology to print codes and plain text with the required contrast. In a single step, the system creates a white ink mirror and immediately prints on it with black ink. Color mirror and marking then dry together in a very short time.

For open-pored and smooth-pored impregnated cardboard, packaging films, plastics or metal and much more, REA will soon be offering its customers and trade partners a completely new generation of printers based on piezo in combination with a fast-drying ink generation specially developed for this purpose. Up to now, the process-reliable use of piezo-based print head technologies for non-drying or slow-drying inks and thus absorbent surfaces has remained limited. REA is now changing this - and has applied for a patent for this innovation.

Independently of this, REA will present the new, performance-enhanced successor model of the GK series for high-resolution printing for absorbent materials (wood, paper, cardboard) and a completely refurbished controller generation. Direct printing technologies from REA can - depending on the application and purpose - facilitate recycling, save costs and significantly increase production flexibility and process reliability. The range of accessories was also expanded in front of this purpose and adapted to increasing customer needs.

REA VeriCube - variant for glossy surfaces

Another VeriCube variant now complements the world's most successful model in this class for code verification on glossy surfaces. For manufacturers and distributors of coded, highly glossy or metallized foils, labels and products made of stainless steel, for example, this new solution should be of great interest. REA will also present a number of other innovations, both at its newly designed booth and via digital access for those who prefer to keep up to date with all the latest news on the web. State-of-the-art HP-based TIJ systems, lasers & cabins, customizable label dispensers, spray mark technology, high-performance small character inkjet printers (CIJ) and much more - REA is finally presenting its state-of-the-art, high-quality full range "Made in Germany" live again.

REA LabelTower

The "REA LabelTower" is the latest result of a partnership agreement and new development between Strelen Control Systems GmbH and REA Elektronik GmbH

For whom is LabelTower interesting and what can it do? The need and demand comes from the food industry, especially from export-strong companies that use easily confusable labels with language variants for their products. Thanks to a unique, very high-performance OCR character recognition system based on artificial intelligence, the Tower can compare the content (language, text modules) and also the quality (legibility, contrast, print and standard-compliant code quality) of a finished and already labeled product with order-related target templates. This is an intelligent tool for shift personnel with different qualifications on the production line.

Two new Verifier variants:
REA VeriMax - Verify codes inline or mobile

The VeriMax with inline capability: Its field of application is the machine-integrated, alternatively also mobile inspection of standardized 2D codes immediately after marking.

REA will also present a number of other innovations, both at its newly designed booth and via digital access for those who prefer to keep up to date with all the latest news on the web (https://www.rea-jet.com/de-de/index.html#mediagallery26663-1).
